The Story Behind the Name Haileycat

One of the questions we get asked most is, "Where did the name Haileycat come from?"

The funny part is that we are not really cat people. We love animals, but there was never a grand plan to start a brand with "Cat" in the name.

The inspiration came from our daughter, Hailey.

It Started With a Face

When Hailey was a baby, she had one expression that immediately reminded us of the famous Grumpy Cat meme. She could give a look that said, "I am not impressed," without making a sound. Family members laughed every time she made that face, and before long we started calling her Haileycat.

The nickname stuck.

More Than a Nickname

As Hailey grew up, the name took on a life of its own.

She has always been fearless, independent, and full of personality. She is quick witted, adventurous, and never afraid to let you know exactly what she is thinking. The nickname no longer reminded us of a meme. It reminded us of her.

When we decided to launch our apparel brand, nothing else felt right. Haileycat already represented creativity, originality, and a little bit of attitude, which fit our family perfectly.

The Name Behind the Brand

Today, Haileycat is more than our company name. It represents the spirit behind everything we create.

Our designs are original, a little unexpected, and never copied from anyone else. Just like the name itself, they are meant to stand out.

Every time you see the Haileycat logo, you are seeing a small piece of our family's story. What started as a nickname for a baby with a legendary expression became the name of the business we are building together.

And yes, she can still make that face.
