A New Look for HaileyCat

Every brand has a beginning.

Some beginnings are polished. Others are learning experiences. Ours has been a little of both.

When HaileyCat Apparel launched in 2024, we were excited to finally bring our ideas to life. We had a logo, brand colors, and a vision. We hit publish and got to work.

Looking back now, it's easy to smile.

Our original logo looked like it had been pulled straight out of the 90s. While it certainly had personality, it wasn't the direction we wanted to take the brand. We also chose black and orange as our primary colors, even though they never really felt like us.

Despite the name, we have never been "cat people." The name HaileyCat has always been about our daughter and the story behind the nickname, not about cats themselves. As we continued building the brand, we realized our visual identity was sending a different message than the one we wanted to share.

That led us to an important question:

If we were starting HaileyCat today, would we build it the same way?

The answer was no.

So we made a change.

Today we're introducing a new HaileyCat with a cleaner logo, a neutral color palette, and a brand identity that better reflects who we are. Instead of bold colors competing for attention, our branding now takes a step back so our shirt designs can be the focus.

This isn't about pretending the first version never existed. Quite the opposite.

We believe every business has a story, and ours includes learning as we go. Rebranding less than two years after launching may seem unusual, but sometimes growth means recognizing what isn't working and having the confidence to improve it.

We're proud of where we started because without that first version, there wouldn't be a second.

Our mission hasn't changed. We still want to create apparel that's creative, fun, and designed to make people smile. The only thing that's different is that now our brand finally feels like it matches that mission.

To our first 19 followers, thank you for being here from the beginning. You're part of this story, and we're grateful you've joined us for the ride.

Maybe one day we'll look back on this post when there are thousands of you.
